| خلاصه مقاله | Background: This study aimed to determine the relationship between service quality and medical trust in trauma care among emergency department victims.
Method:
This cross-sectional study was conducted at Imam Reza Hospital, Tabriz, 2022. Data were analyzed via Pearson correlation, independent t-tests, and ANOVA using validated tools Trust in Trauma Care in an Emergency Department (TTC-ED) and Trauma Quality Scale from Patients' Perspective (TQS-PP), ensuring reliability in assessing trust and service quality relationships.
Results:
The analysis of 498 trauma patients with mean age 28.7 ± 13.6 years revealed higher quality of care scores among married individuals, those with less education, and during summer and autumn (P<0.001). Trust in emergency care was significantly higher in men, married individuals, and those with lower education levels (P<0.001). A strong positive correlation was found between systemic trust, individual trust, and the quality of care (r=0.76 and r=0.71, respectively, P<0.001).
Conclusion:
There is a significant positive relationship between systemic and individual trust and the quality of care provided to trauma victims, indicating that enhancing care quality may improve patient trust. Lower-educated and married individuals showed higher trust and perceived care quality, highlighting the need for tailored strategies to meet diverse patient needs |
