| خلاصه مقاله | Introduction: The wear of anterior teeth causes the loss of anterior guidance, which protects the posterior teeth from wear during excursive movement. The collapse of posterior teeth results in the loss of normal occlusal plane and the reduction of the vertical dimension. Materials and methods: A search was conducted to select studies that evaluated or compared techniques/materials to restore teeth with severe wear. A search was conducted in google scholar with no limits for publication year or language to identify clinical studies. Two reviewers independently selected studies, extracted data . Results: A total of 511 articles were found and 23 studies were eligible for full-text analysis; hand search included 7 more papers. From the 30 studies, 12 were eligible.These studies explore contemporary approaches to full-mouth rehabilitation,focusing on diagnostic protocols,vertical dimention assessment,occlusal schemes and material selection. Conclusions: An appropriate knowledge on dental erosion and oral rehabilitation could lead the clinician to deliver a fast, accurate and predictable noninvasive restorative treatment. |
