| خلاصه مقاله | Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) regenerative therapies are hindered by the senescence of these cells during extended culture, leading to altered morphology, reduced stemness, and impaired differentiation. Aged MSCs can also activate immune responses, affecting tissue homeostasis. To enhance the clinical application of MSCs, it is crucial to improve their immunomodulatory properties and prevent aging. This review discusses the cellular and molecular mechanisms behind MSC senescence and strategies to reverse or prevent it, such as pre-treating MSCs with specific molecules and using advanced three-dimensional culture systems. It also highlights new methods to boost MSC immunomodulation. By addressing the challenges posed by aged MSCs and enhancing their functions, these strategies offer promising prospects for the long-term success of cell therapies and improving MSC treatment efficacy in biomedical contexts. |
