| خلاصه مقاله | Introduction: The eye is one of the most sensitive sensory organs, timely diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases are crucial to prevent serious and undesirable damages. Two of the most important eye diseases are retinal detachment and glaucoma, which can lead to permanent visual impairment. According to recent statistics, more than 60 million people worldwide suffer from glaucoma, and about 1% of the world's population suffer from retinal detachment.
Method: We employed a comprehensive search strategy across multiple electronic databases, including PubMed, MEDLINE, and google scholar. A detailed search string was incorporated with keywords and Medical Subject Headings terms related to Fetal eye diseases, Advanced embryo imaging, Fluorescein angiography, Optical Coherence Tomography.
Results and Discussion: Advanced retinal imaging technologies, such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Fluorescein Angiography, play a significant role in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. OCT imaging utilizes a specific wavelength laser light to create high-resolution images. The laser light is directed at the target tissue, and the reflected light is collected and analyzed. One of the biggest advantages of using OCT technology in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases is for retinal detachment. Therefore, with OCT imaging, a physician can detect structural weaknesses and changes in the retina indicative of retinal detachment and determine an appropriate treatment plan. The next method is Fluorescein Angiography, where dynamic images of blood flow in retinal vessels are captured by injecting fluorescein dye into the patient and using an angiography device. This method enables early detection of glaucoma and selection of appropriate treatment methods.
