| خلاصه مقاله | Abstract Up to date, recent advances in in in vitro 3D culture techniques have led to fabrication and development of biomimetic human/animal tissue analogs. Both unicellular and multicellular (tumoroids) tumor spheroids can relatively mimic the in vivo-like conditions compared to the 2D culture systems. Parameters such as tumor cell growth, proliferation, drug screening, etc. can be precisely monitored using tumoroids or spheroids even in the laboratory settings. It has been thought that the formation of de novo blood vessels (angiogenesis) is critical step in the formation and propagation of tumor masses to the remote sites. Whether, and how tumor cells within in unicellular and multicellular units can stimulate/inhibit the signaling pathways directly or indirectly related to angiogenesis is at the center attention. The collaboration of endothelial cells with other tumoroid cell components can help us in better understanding of biological phenomena inside the tumoroids in term of juxtacrine and paracrine interaction. Here, we aimed to highlight the recent data related to importance of tumoroids in the evaluation tumor vascularization mechanisms and their importance in the clinical settings. |
