| خلاصه مقاله | Different drug development methods have been utilized small molecules, antibodies or peptides. Nowadays peptides have gained a rising attention as potential therapeutics for different disorders such as cancer, since of their target selectivity and reduced toxicity. A variety of processes, such as the disintegration of cell walls leading to necrosis, apoptosis, repression of tumor blood vessel growth, control of immune responses, disruption with channels of communication among cells signaling processes, and controlling their progression through the cell cycle, can be used by peptides to specifically target proteins on the cell surface and kill the target cells. The outlook of drug discovery and drug delivery systems has significantly changed as a result of the progression of peptide technology during the past few periods. Besides, showed many promising outcomes in terms of control and eradication of tumors. The focus of this review is on recent advances in cancer targeting peptides, which are either made from natural peptide ligands or recognized utilizing phage display screening techniques. |
