It exhibits remarkable pharmacological effects such as wound healing, antioxidant, and anticancer properties.
Some of the most important properties of a drug to be effective as medicine are its delivery to the site of action, fewer side effects, and resistance to unwanted metabolisms. Novel drug delivery systems can help drugs to fulfill these features and thus have better effects and fewer side effects. Lipid-based nanoparticles, polymers, vesicles, and viral delivery systems are among those that can help many drugs to reach their targets. Using one or a combination of the mentioned delivery systems which are loaded with medicinal fractions of Calendula can be helpful, which is analyzed in this poster. |
