| خلاصه مقاله | Severe acute respiratory syndrome-2 (SARS-CoV-2), which causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, has become the biggest health and socio-economic problem of the present century by disrupting the lives of people across the globe. Due to the rising mortality rate of COVID-19 patients and the absence of specific treatment for this emerging virus, prevention and rapid universal vaccination are essential to reduce the transmission, mortality rate and sustainable control of COVID-19. Despite the production and approval of a number of anti-COVID-19 vaccines production, distribution and prescription of standard vaccines for SARS-CoV-2 as well as the social acceptance and public trust to perform the vaccination steps correctly are some of the challenges of implementing the COVID-19 vaccination program. Therefore, in this review article, the challenges of implementing a national vaccination program with existing vaccines in Iran were reviewed. |
