| Calcium based ceramics are generally considered as alternative materials in the orthopedic implants in the regeneration of hard tissue because of its great biocompatibility, similar chemical structure, size, crystallinity and morphology to an inorganic constituent of bone. Gelatin-calcium carbonate nanocomposite films were prepared and investigated in this study. The results showed uniformly prepared composites with nanosized range and negative surface charge. The prepared materials in this study can be used for further in vitro and in vivo tests to confirm their ability in the use for bone regeneration. |
