| خلاصه مقاله | Emergency conditions are those conditions and events occurring unexpectedly which have undesirable effect on human and organizational performances. Importance of hospitals is more than their direct role played in saving life of people. At the time of crisis, when hospitals and those individuals rendering health services become damaged; they would not be able to take effective measures for treatment of those injured in accidents. This inefficiency created in health sector in turn will create a second crisis. This is why; the study has been performed to the aim of collecting data regarding people’s reaction during occurrence of emergencies in hospitals, with consideration of importance of hospitals under emergency conditions 438 (all) employees in Imam Reza (PBUH) Hospital in Tabriz City have been studied for the period of one month (Bahman 1395= January 20th, 2017 till February 17th, 2017). To collect data, a questionnaire developed by Shiwakoti et al. has been used. Questionnaire includes four questions related to proactive strategy; three questions related to reactive strategy; one question related to competitive strategy; one question related to cooperative strategy; two questions related to symmetry breaking strategy; and, one question related to path selection strategy. To specify reaction of different people with consideration of their gender; they have been divided into two male and female groups. Accordingly there have been 232 female and 206 male persons in these two groups. To perform statistical tests, IBM SPSS 23 software has been used Comparing various strategies selected through logistic regression showed that there is a considerable difference in strategies of emergency exit between men and women. Accordingly, men more probably select proactive and competitive strategies and less probably select cooperative strategy, compared to women Considering importance of hospitals, the results from present study can play an important role in appropriate policy making and modeling to recognize behaviors of different people in hospitals and other health centers at the time of emergencies. Also, it can be of considerable effect on evaluation of needs and required preparations including training requirements for people and provision of required facilities when emergency conditions occur |
