| Solubility profile for 3-aminosalicylic acid (3-ASA) in the mixtures of 1-propanol and water is measured by a shake-flask method at 293.2–313.2 K. Results indicated that the experimental mole fraction solubility of 3-ASA in the investigated mixtures firstly increase up to w1=0.6 and then decrease with the increasing of 1-propanol mass fraction at each temperature. Model correlation is performed by some cosolvency models and their accuracy is investigated by computation of the mean relative deviations (MRD%) for back-calculated data. Furthermore, apparent thermodynamic properties of standard enthalpy, Gibbs free energy and entropy of the dissolution process are calculated and discussed, as well as the respective preferential solvation parameters. |
