| Being among the 10 highly prevalent cancers worldwide, oral cancer is indicated by clinically detained
diagnosis, weak prognostic process, no special biomarkers for diseases, and high-cost therapeutical
modalities. It is possible to prevent this disease and there is previous information about the risk factors and
natural history, in which their weak clinical indications may be improved by biomedical sciences and
particularly dentistry. A concise overview is presented of the major risk factors associated with oral cancer. |
