| خلاصه مقاله | Abstract – Medulloblastoma is a heterogeneous embryonal tumor which commonly arises in the cerebellum or posterior cranial fossa.The tumor primarily occurs in childhood; however, rarely, it may be found in adult that shows features which are quite distinct from the pediatrics. We report the case of a 5-year- old who presented to our department with a history of opcrated medulloblastoma underwent chemo and radiotherapy courses since the previous year. Preoperative investigations suggested a known case of brain tumor ( postcrior fossa mass). Moreover, histopathological examination was performed and the results reported a diagnosis of medulloblastoma. After previous findings patient refer to our department for 18F-FDG PET/CT scan. Shortly, FDG PET of MDB should be interpreted with caution and more assessment. Further studies about amino acid tracers are suggested to delineate the lesions involvement of MDB in Childs. |
