| The molar solubility of celecoxib (CXB) was measured in the binary
mixtures of 1-propanol + water at temperatures ranging from 293.2 to
313.2 K. The obtained solubility data are mathematically represented by
employing five cosolvency models (i.e. van’t Hoff equation, Yalkowsky–
Roseman model, Jouyban–Acree model, Jouyban–Acree–van’t Hoff
model and the modified Wilson model), and the mean relative deviations
(MRD%) calculated for the back-calculated solubility data were 2.5%,
68.7%, 12.7%, 12.8% and 20.5%, respectively, for each investigated
cosolvency model. The apparent dissolution enthalpy, entropy and
Gibbs energy of CXB in these solvent mixtures were also computed
based on the van’t Hoff and Gibbs equations. |
