| خلاصه مقاله | Background and Objectives: Occupational performance is defined as he ability to perceive, desire, recall, plan and carry out roles, routines, tasks and sub-tasks for the purpose of self-maintenance, productivity, leisure and rest in response to demands of the internal and/or external environment. Occupational performance of children with cystic fibrosis may be limited by respiratory or other conditions related to illness. Therefore we decided to compare satisfaction and performance of children with Cystic fibrosis with healthy children. Materials and Methods: 15 children with Cystic fibrosis were compared with matched 15 healthy children by Canadian Occupational Performance Measure in satisfaction and performance subscales. Findings: Performance scores were significantly different between two groups (P= 0.025). Any difference was found in satisfaction scores (P= 0.092). Discussion: Although children with cystic fibrosis has problems in their performance but their mothers are satisfied with them. It is recommended to inform parents about the functional limitations of cystic fibrosis disease to achieve better adherence to medical care. Occupational therapy advice can improve the performance of these children. |
