Phytochemical investigation and anti-Alzheimer’s disease properties of three Stachys species

خلاصه روش اجرا: Infusions and essential oils of these herbs will be evaluated for their enzyme inhibitory effects related to neuroprotective activities. Moreover, antioxidant activities of mentioned herbs will be evaluated comprehensively using different standard methods (DPPH, ABTS, total antioxidant assay, metal chelating, and reducing power). Total phenolic and flavonoid contents of these Stachys species will be also evaluated. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis will be used for determination and quantification of phenolic acids and flavonoids. Also, Gas Chromatography-Mass spectrometry (GC/MS) analysis will be performed to the identification of chemical composition of essential oils. Findings could indicate the nutritional value and medicinal properties of studied herbs. Thus they could be considered as a new source of natural agents for designing new functional ingredients and pharmaceutical formulations.

| نوآوری و ضرورت انجام تحقیق | Mountain teas (Stachys species) are common herbal tea and useful functional foods. They are traditionally used all around the world. Findings could indicate the nutritional value and medicinal properties of studied herbs. Thus they could be considered as a new source of natural agents for designing new functional ingredients and pharmaceutical formulations. The results of this work could be helpful in the utilization of these herbs in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. |

| متخصصان و پژوهشگران | عنوان خبر ترکیبات گیاه استاکیس گونه S. inflata دارای اثرات ویژه ضد آلزایمر از طریق مهار آنزیم های کولین استرازی می باشند.متن خبر گونه های Stachys گیاهان دارویی هستند که به دلیل عطر و طعم و رایحه آنها دارای اهمیت ویژه ای هستند. در این تحقیق ویژگی های ضد آلزایمر، پروفایل آنتی اکسیدانی، فنلی ترکیبات مختلف موجود در essential oil و دم کرده آنها مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. اجزای اصلی روغن فرار گونه S. inflata شامل ترکیبات germacrene D (21.6 %) و β-pinene (15.6 %) بود. S. lavandulifolia دارای germacrene D (22.5 %) و α-pinene (15.5 %) بود. در حالیکه S. byzantina حاوی ترکیبات hexahydrofarnesyl acetone (25.7 %) و valeranone (17.1 %) بود. تمام EO ها خواص احیا کنندگی و آنتی اکسیدانی بالاقوه ای از خود نشان دادند. همه ترکیبات دارای خواص ضد دیابتی ، ضد چاقی و ضد بیماری های پوستی ویژه ای بودند، در حالیکه ترکیبات گیاه استاکیس گونه S. inflata دارای اثرات ویژه ضد آلزایمر از طریق مهار آنزیم های کولین استرازی (استیل کولین استراز و بوتریل کولین استراز) بودند. |
